
Kuala Lumpur, 28 August 2024 – RIA SOLUTIONS (M) SDN BHD (RIA) announced today that the company has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with PT DOK DAN PERKAPALAN KODJA BAHARI (PESERO) (PT DKB), affirmed the strong relationship between two companies as a strengthening position to the existing business relationship that PT DKB has established. The MoU shall further fortify the bilateral relationship between Malaysia and Indonesia. The signing ceremony was held at Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE) Headquarters yesterday and attended by officials from MATRADE.
The MoU exchange between RIA and PT DKB was witnessed by the Chief Director of Department of Occupational Safety and Health of Ministry of Human Resources (MoHR), Ir. Hj. Mohd Hatta Bin Zakaria earlier today during the opening event ceremony of the Innovation & Technology IR 4.0 Exhibition and Conference that is organised by Ministry of Human Resources Malaysia, Department of Occupational Safety & Health (DOSH) and Masters Builders Association Malaysia from 28th August 2024 – 30th August 2024 at Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC), in line with the Malaysia OSH Master Plan 2025.
RIA’s established in-country business in Indonesia, PT ASIC RIA Nusantara as their local entity in Indonesia to operate the professional training centres via the joint venture partnership (JVP) with PT DKB focusing on marine, offshore and oil & gas industries aiming to grow the economies of Indonesia and Malaysia; demonstrate transfer of knowledge between both countries; connect communities to education and opportunities in Indonesia; and accelerate the occupational, health and safety (OSH) progress to create quality talents and job for professionals in Indonesia and Malaysia. The JVP’s first training academy in Indonesia will be established inside PT DKB’s shipyard at Jakarta, Indonesia, turning a Dutch colony building built in 1873 into a training centre. RIA is a specialised oil & gas services company and training academy operator with 4 training academy branches in Malaysia located at Terengganu, Sabah and Sarawak with their training syllabus which are accreditation by various international bodies including DOSH Malaysia, Petronas, Phase II, Doppler and many others.
"Acknowledging that to depend solely upon national-level business is inadequate to drive our company’s growth, thus RIA has chosen Indonesia as its first country to expand their office and presence physically in the global markets," founder and chief executive officer of RIA Dato Senu’ Mohd Noor explained.

With MATRADE’s continued support and guidance, we can undertake our services in Indonesia smoother, coped with a very strong RIA team on board. Now, we can achieve quantum lead in Malaysian export business growth into Indonesia,” president director of PT ASIC RIA Nusantara, Ms. Nur Farina Khalil explained. She added, “All our businesses in Indonesia are currently executed by PT ASIC RIA Nusantara under the flagship of RIA Group of Companies.”
The establishment of the training academy business in Indonesia between RIA and PT DKB has a potential value of RM80 million for the five-year TVET opportunities which will bring more than 1000 job opportunities for the local Malaysian and Indonesian. The execution of the MOU would be later deliberated, arranged, and formalised in a separate agreement and/or purchase order between the parties.
