Saudi Electric Vehicle Brand Ceer Introduces Exobot Sedan and SUV

Saudi automotive company Ceer has introduced its Exobot electric vehicles as part of a plan to develop a domestic car manufacturing industry. Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman unveiled the models on September 21, 2026, according to state media. The range includes a sedan and a sport utility vehicle. Both are part of a proposed seven-vehicle portfolio to be introduced over five years.

Production is planned at the Ceer Manufacturing Complex, described in the report as the Middle East's largest automotive production facility. Domestic engineers designed the two models with features reflecting Saudi culture and the country's natural surroundings. The vehicles were developed to meet international quality standards. The launch brings the company's first models into public view ahead of the planned expansion of its product range.

Ceer expects its operations to contribute more than 30 billion Saudi riyals, equivalent to about US$8 billion, to national gross domestic product by 2034. It also forecasts a contribution of more than 80 billion riyals, or about US$21 billion, to the trade balance by that year. These figures are company projections. They describe the expected economic contribution of its future operations.

The Public Investment Fund established Ceer in 2022 as Saudi Arabia's first vehicle brand. The project forms part of efforts to broaden the economy and create skilled jobs. At the launch, the crown prince linked the first vehicles to the development of a sustainable industrial base. The sedan and SUV are the initial products in that longer-term manufacturing plan.
