Who is Alia Merican?

Alia Merican, a young investigator, is the central character in the forthcoming book "Silencing the Lambs" by CEO and author Sajeet Soudagor. The story explores a series of intricate global murders set against the backdrop of crime and clandestine societies.

The narrative is based in contemporary Malaysia, where Alia stumbles upon a deep-seated mystery that traces its origins back to ancient times. The plot weaves connections from the Mauryan Empire of Asoka the Great to the present day, reminiscent of "The Da Vinci Code." Battling her own personal demons, Alia finds herself entangled in a deep and ominous conspiracy that dates back to the time of Emperor Ashoka. Her quest uncovers a mysterious message that has ties to the obscure history of world archaeology.

Alia’s journey takes her from the historic sites of Pataliputra to the bustling cities of modern-day Kuala Lumpur, Rome, and Shiraz. She navigates through both the remnants of the past and the treachery and murder of the contemporary world.

Author Sajeet Soudagor, a technology businessman, a freelance journalist, covers topics such as relationships, technology, and current affairs. He has traveled widely and serves in an advisory capacity at the University of Kebangsan Malaysia. Sajeet is also the Founder and CEO of Knight Information Solutions, where he combines entrepreneurship with his philanthropic efforts.

"Silencing The Lambs" is a captivating blend of historical intrigue and modern-day suspense, offering twists that propel Alia on her quest to unravel the truth. The past is portrayed as a force that challenges the fabric of today's reality. Malaysian movie director Kabir Bhatia is working with Sajeet to turn the novel into a Netflix series.

The official book launch is set for May 25th at the British Raj in Jaya One, Petaling Jaya, following a pre-launch event at the Majestic Hotel's Writers' Room, a spot once beloved by renowned authors like Somerset Maugham.
