Sector Reorganisation Makes Cameroon’s Coca Price the Highest in Africa

In October, the minimum cocoa farm gate price was announced in Cameroon as CFA 950 per kilogram, which is considered the highest in Africa. This price was achieved as a result of the reorganisation of the sector being implemented through the Cocoa and Coffee Internal Marketing Reorganization Project. Farmers are also provided with counselling on the organisation of cooperatives and especially the operation of storage stores which allow them to sell more and more at the best price, through the group sales system.
