Being one of the most vulnerable countries to the impacts of climate change, and one of the largest growers of cotton and rice, Bangladesh is examining climate resilient ways to boost domestic agricultural production. The focus has been on cotton because it is more resilient in a dry climate and its returns are significantly higher than rice (USD 0.72/kg for cotton as compared to USD 0.22/kg for rice), despite the fact that the cost of growing cotton is slightly higher than that for rice. There are a number of strategies that are followed by the Government of Bangladesh to enhance cotton production including: providing accessible and comprehensible
